Welcome to the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association ( MAPAPA)

MAPAPA has a rich history of providing painting opportunities for those who love to paint outdoors.

MAPAPA was founded in 2003 and has grown over the years to maintain a vital role in providing plein air painting opportunities and educational resources for its members. MAPAPA it has established an expanded mission to bring plein air painting to a wider audience.

We encourage members to become involved in the organization by participating in activities and volunteering to help organizing events. We encourage members to host a paintout to spend time with other members as well as share a favorite place to paint.

Membership dues are collected annually based on the date a member has joined.

A highlight of the year is the Annual Meeting. Members gather to experience two painting demonstrations along with lectures, a swap materials table, lunch and a great time talking to other MAPAPA members.
