Consider Joining the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association ( MAPAPA)

MAPAPA has a rich history of providing painting opportunities for those who love to paint outdoors.

While MAPAPA was originally founded in 2003 to serve as the organizer of Paint Annapolis, MAPAPA has evolved over the years to maintain a vital role in providing plein air painting opportunities and educational resources for its members. While MAPAPA no longer hosts Paint Annapolis, it has established an expanded mission to bring plein air painting to a wider audience.

We encourage members to become involved in the organization by becoming involved in the organization.  We love to have members host a paintout to both spend time with other members as well as share a favorite place to paint.

Some of the reasons to join MAPAPA are:

  • Organized paint outs
  • Teaching/demonstration activities
  • Periodic exhibition opportunities
  • Private website for members only
  • Workshops with nationally known artists
  • Announcements of local competition opportunities
  • Website link to your personal artist home page
  • A host of organized events that bring painters together

Membership dues are collected annually based on the date a member has joined.

A highlight of the year is the Annual Meeting.  Members gather to experience two painting demonstrations along with lectures, a swap materials table, lunch and a great time talking to other MAPAPA members.

If you have decided to join, CLICK HERE to go to the Home page of the MAPAPA website where you will find both the button to start your membership (New Membership) along with all of the other features and resources found in the website.
